Highlights

Collegium Sancti Geronimi hosts Saint Geronimus Tourney for the first time, thus starting the annual anniversary. The nose melee continued, using a carrot mounted on the face of helms in the heavy melee; and tissues taped by their corners to masks in the rapier melee.

Incipient Collegium Sancti Geronimi

Sunday, February 23, 1997

Come for the traditional fighting and fun activities at the annual tournament to honor the of the patron saint of Dreiburgen, Saint Geronimus. The place is Hunt Park in Riverside.

The activities include heavy weapons and rapier lists including the traditional Nose and Handkerchief Melees. In addition, prizes will be awarded for the Best Relic, Best Miracle, Best Addition to the legend of Saint Geronimus. In keeping with the theme of the day and the Incipient College, a prize will be awarded for the best pilgrim’s or Scolar’s garb. Other contests will be announced during the day. A raffle will also be held. Bring your chessboards and other game-playing equipment.

  • 4:00pm Closing Court

The site is dry. Sorry but there will be no merchanting.
